More than a place to live
Calma Co-living is more than a few rooms in a beautiful villa.
It's about embracing a slower, more intentional way of living. It's about becoming part of a small, authentic community from day one. And it's built on a simple belief: that we can change how we live.
While the world rewards speed, scale and efficiency, we choose presence, authenticity and collaboration. Calma Co-living is an ecosystem of trust, built by everyone who becomes part of it.
It all began with one person's search for a different way to live.
Monique
With Catalan-Swiss roots, Monique was born and raised in Barcelona. Like many millennials, she found herself chasing a life that looked good on paper but left her feeling exhausted and lost.
In 2024, she left the corporate world to bring The Offline Club movement to Barcelona, promoting mental health and pushing back against the loneliness epidemic. What started as phone-free gatherings grew into a real community.
A year later, she followed her longing for a slower rhythm in nature. She learnt about regenerative ecosystems and began designing a wellness farm at Baussitges, her family's land in the Alt Empordà, Catalonia.
Along the way, she realised that a slow life in nature is still out of reach for most people, so she found a quiet place in the heart of the city to bridge the gap: Calma Co-living
Three projects, one purpose: to connect people, to bring slow life into the city, and to design an alternative future in nature.
Our values
Community
Sharing life, not just a house.
We share our home, our belongings and our daily rhythms, and we treat each other with respect, care and openness.
Intention
Here by choice, not by chance.
Everyone at Calma chose to be here. We bring together people with shared values and meaningful projects, so we can grow and connect together.
Collaboration
Everyone takes part
We share our skills and knowledge, help shape life in the house and support each other's projects, because every idea grows stronger when it has a community behind it.
